RANGE OF MOTION THERAPY
DE FASCIA RECONSTRUCTION

The art and science of fascial lengthening, fascial release, and joint decompression to restore and amplify ability. Consists of five techniques to relieve crosslink adhesions, pain, and stiffness in tight muscles as quickly and effectively as possibly. MUSCLE ENERGY TECHNIQUES(Founded by Fred Mitchell) to adjust proprioception and gain instant flexibility and muscle length. MYOFASCIAL RELEASE(Ida Rolf) to release crosslink adhesions in the epimysium/periosteum of muscles and loosen the facial tissue. POSITIONAL RELEASE(Laurence Jones) A pin and stretch technique used to reset muscle sensory receptors as well and proprioceptive pain. Also releases crosslink adhesions with point specific compression. JOINT DECOMPRESSION(Fritz Smith) The art of articulating and decompressing joint ligaments and tendons that are under constant compression to relieve joint capsule pain and facial adheasons. RECIPRICAL INHABITION Uses various muscle contractions to relax the antagonist muscle of the muscle being flexed, to relieve neuromuscular tention, pain, and activate the muscles sensory receptors to inhibit a more stable kinetic chain.

SPORTS MASSAGE

This is designed for athletes, pre and post event and deals with many injuries to the "soft tissue" of the body. Consists of PNF Stretching( proprioceptive neuromuscular facilitation), with deep transverse friction on needed areas. Proper evaluation is vital for properly treating injuries. Pain is the key to proper evaluation. Healthy tissue will function without pain or weakness. We are concerned here with two types of soft-tissue: contractile and non contractile (or inert). Contractile tissues include muscles, tendons, and there attatchment to the bone(ligaments). These tisues are tested using resisted muscle tests, which lead the muscles to assess pain or weakness. NON Contractile or Inert tissues are ligaments, fasciea, joint capsules, and bursae. These tissues are evaluated using passive movements that test the integrity of the inert tissues without stressing the contractile tissues.

DEEP TISSUE MASSAGE/NEUROMUSCULAR THERAPY

The neuromuscular system is the connection between your nervous system and the muscles of the body. Neuromuscular therapy focuses on re-establishing the proper connection between your nervous system and musculoskeletal system. This therapy focuses on re-training the body to use proper movement mechanics, releases facilitated musculature, and innervates inhibited musculature at the proper time for optimal movement patterns. NMT utilizes techniques such as Proprioceptive Neuromuscular Facilitation (PNF), Reciprocal Inhibition (RI) and Post Isometric Relaxation (PIR) along with specific movement pattern training to produce balance, coordination and optimal movement efficiency.

TRIGGER POINT THERAPY

Trigger points are areas of tenderness that have become chronically stimulated causing local pain or referred pain patterns. Continued stimulation creates a viscous cycle of decreased circulation, reduced lymphatic drainage, and unnecessary energy expenditure. Trigger point therapy works to release the tension in the skeletal musculature by releasing spasms and crosslink adhesions in hyper irritable portions of the muscle. Similar to myofascial or R.O.M.

MYOFASCIAL RELEASE THERAPY

Fascia is a connective tissue which covers muscles, tendons, ligaments, and bones. The myofascial system(epimisia) is the interaction between fascia and the structures it wraps. Over time, poor posture, imbalance in the body, and dysfunctional movement patterns cause fascia to migrate and adhease to other muscles. These shifts in fascia create restriction and pain in surrounding structures which result in decreased nerve activity, blood flow, and diminished lymphatic drainage. Myofascial release therapy was created to assist in healing somatic anomalies which are associated with muscular contracture and facial constriction that arise from physical trama, chronic pain, long held emotional trama, postural imbalances, repetitive strain, inflammitory processes. scarring, stress and various pathologys. The purpose of this bodywork is to promote good health threw increased flexability, freedom of movement, and decreased pain.
